DRA Selected as Designer for Wahconah Regional High School

DRA was selected by the Massachusetts school Building Authority as designer for Central Berkshire School District’s Wahconah Regional High School project in December. The firm will work closely with Skanska, a Swedish company that was approved as the owner’s project manager for the feasibility study in September 2017.

The existing Wahconah High School, located in Dalton, MA is over 55 years old and has outdated systems and inadequate facilities for 21st Century learners. The design team’s challenge is to determine whether renovation or new construction options will best meet the needs of the district.

Visioning sessions began in late January. The focus of these sessions is to develop an Educational Plan for the District before beginning conceptual design.
