Led by a privately organized and funded Kennebunk Theater Committee, DRA aided this community in developing a public – private partnership for the proposed new 500-seat theater. The study looked at a variety of potential options and alternatives for community and school theater space on the Kennebunk High School Campus. DRA led programming sessions with local community theater, dance and art organizations to aid in identifying their issues, needs, and concerns in the development of this shared community venue. The DRA-led team also interviewed school administration, music and performing arts department leaders, faculty, and students to identify their needs for this shared community resource. DRA hosted three heavily attended and televised Community Workshops throughout the process leading to the final theater recommendation.
